SLD 유리 3매, 비구면 렌즈 4매를 채용해, 제수차를 보정. 특히 점상 재현성을 악화시키는 팽이 수차나, 좁혀도 개선되지 않는 배율 색 수차등을 양호하게 보정하는 것으로 화면 주변까지 높은 화질을 실현했습니다. 대구경 표준 줌으로서 개방에서의 묘사에도 신경을 썼습니다.핀트면은 샤프하게 묘사해, 구면 수차를 약간 남김으로써 보케의 묘사에도 집착했습니다. 고성능 렌즈의 설계에 빠뜨릴 수 없는 비구면 렌즈. 다양한 상황에서 사용되는 것을 상정해 보정 효과가 높은 손떨림 보정 OS(Optical Stabilizer) 기구 탑재.
